In 2024, the Northeast Disabilities Resource Centre (NDRC) proudly completed its first-ever sponsored walk—an inspiring and memorable journey from Seaburn to the Valiant Centre. This inclusive event brought together staff, service users, and their families in a shared effort to raise both awareness and funds for our organisation. The walk was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our presence in the community, promote inclusivity, and generate support for one of our key initiatives: the development of our garden space.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and the enthusiasm of everyone involved, the walk successfully raised funds that have already made a meaningful impact. We were delighted to purchase brand-new garden furniture, which our service users are now enjoying on a regular basis. The outdoor space has quickly become a welcoming area for relaxation, socialising, and activities—further enriching the everyday experience at our centre.
