NDRC has provided Daycentre opportunities for over 50 years. The purpose-built new day centre has complimented the services it provides allowing for more people to attend and the environment is clean, bright and welcoming

We have an IT  suite an Arts and crafts area and plenty of space for drama and exercise classes as well as amenities for cookery and life skills ensuring that we help to build on existing skills. Our dedicated team supports individuals to develop a personal learning programme based on their abilities, the things they enjoy and the things they want to achieve. Depending on what a person wants to do, we may provide one-to-one or small group sessions.

We may go to individual people in their homes or use different locations in and around the Sunderland area for different activities.

Our team provide an open and inclusive day services for people aged 18 and over. The people we support often have other complex needs too, such as a learning disability, mental health issues, autism or a physical disability.

Our day service is all about supporting each person to develop new skills and experience new activities that they may never have had a chance to have a go at before. We communicate with each person in their preferred way. We support people to socialise with those around them, developing their social skills and making new friends.
